Job Details Position: Registered Nurse - Cardiac Stepdown Employment Type: Travel Nursing Contract Location: Columbus, OH 43210 Start Date: 11/2/2026 Duration: 13 weeks Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,940-$2,040 Shift Duration: 12 hours Schedule: Rotating day/night schedule; 3 x 12-hour shifts per week, rotating every 4 weeks Hours Per Week: 36 Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend Orientation: 32 hours Unit Type: Cardiac Stepdown / Progressive Care Unit (PCU) / Telemetry Job Requirements Minimum of 1 year of recent acute care experience in Cardiac Stepdown , PCU , Telemetry , or a closely related specialty Current experience must be active and within the last 12 months Valid RN license in hand at time of submission BLS certification required ACLS certification required Strong telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation skills Experience with IV insulin protocols and insulin drips Experience supporting cardiac monitoring in a stepdown or progressive care environment Epic charting experience preferred Ability to float within the organization as needed Comfortable working with adult and geriatric patient populations Responsibilities Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in a cardiac stepdown and telemetry environment Monitor telemetry data and accurately interpret cardiac rhythms and dysrhythmias Assess, plan, and implement care for patients with complex medical needs Manage IV insulin protocols, insulin drips, oxygen therapy, and peripheral IV care Support patients with varying diagnoses, including oncology-related conditions, COPD, sepsis, pneumonia, and abnormal labs Administer medications, maintain accurate clinical documentation, and communicate changes in patient status promptly Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team and respond effectively to rapid response or code situations when needed Float to other units within the organization as required Maintain a strong focus on patient safety, infection prevention, and quality care standards Apply now for this Columbus, OH travel RN job and join a team that values expert cardiac care, flexibility, and strong clinical skills.
