Travel RN Job Details Position: NICU Registered Nurse (RN)

Assignment Type: Travel nursing contract Location: Fort Wayne, Indiana Start Date: November 2, 2026 End Date: February 1, 2027 Duration: 13 weeks Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,250–$2,370 Schedule: 36 hours per week, typically three 12-hour shifts Shift: Nights, 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.

Unit: Neonatal Intensive Care Unit with approximately 31 beds and typical 1:1 or 1:2 patient ratios Charting and Medication Systems: EPIC and Pyxis Orientation: Eight-hour weekday sessions during the first two weeks; attendance is required for all seven orientation days Dress Code: Caribbean blue scrubs NICU Registered Nurse Requirements At least 2 years of Level III NICU nursing experience Current Indiana Registered Nurse (RN) license Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification Ability to provide safe, compassionate nursing care in a fast-paced neonatal environment Willingness to float to age-appropriate pediatric or pediatric intensive care assignments as needed NICU Travel Nurse Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive nursing care to newborns requiring neonatal intensive care Assess patient conditions, recognize changes in status, and promptly escalate concerns Administer medications and treatments safely according to established protocols Monitor vital signs, clinical responses, and developmental needs of neonatal patients Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, respiratory therapists, and the interdisciplinary care team Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient outcomes in EPIC Support and educate families throughout the neonatal care experience Maintain a safe, organized, and developmentally appropriate care environment Apply now for this NICU Registered Nurse travel assignment in Fort Wayne, Indiana, and take the next step in your travel nursing career.
