Job Details Setting: Med/Surg Tele / Stepdown / Progressive Care Location: Columbus, Ohio 43210 Assignment Length: 13 weeks Start Date: November 2, 2026 Shift: 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM Hours per Week: 36 Weekly Schedule: 3 shifts per week Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,940 - $2,040 Employment Type: Travel Nurse Orientation: 36 hours Weekend Coverage: Some weekends required Floating: Float within the organization as needed Call: Required Job Requirements Minimum of 1 year of recent RN nursing experience required Valid compact or state RN license in hand at time of submission BLS and ACLS required Experience caring for adult patients with chronic medical conditions and mixed-acuity needs Comfort working in a telemetry, stepdown, progressive care, or med-surg environment Ability to interpret dysrhythmias and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition Experience with isolation precautions, PPE, and infection prevention practices Ability to manage telemetry patients, oxygen therapy, and peripheral IV lines References required upon submission Education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program preferred Responsibilities Provide safe, high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in a Med/Surg Tele and stepdown setting Monitor telemetry, identify rhythm changes, and escalate concerns promptly Support patients with chronic medical conditions and complex care needs Administer oxygen therapy and assist with nasal cannula management Maintain peripheral IV access and perform line care/management Collaborate with rapid response and code teams when needed Follow infection prevention guidelines and isolation precautions Float to other units within the organization based on staffing needs Deliver compassionate patient care while demonstrating strong clinical judgment and teamwork If you are an experienced Travel RN seeking Columbus, Ohio healthcare jobs in telemetry, stepdown, or progressive care, apply now and take the next step in your nursing career.
