Job Details Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,940 - $2,040 Setting: Mixed-acuity PCU / Surgical Oncology / Stepdown Location: Columbus, OH 43210 Start Date: 11/2/2026 Duration: 16 weeks Shift: 12-hour night shifts Hours per Week: 36 Orientation: 72 hours Scheduling: Variable weekends based on unit needs Floating: May float within scope to other acute care oncology units Charting System: Epic Job Requirements Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in hand at the time of submission Minimum 2 years of total acute care nursing experience At least 1 year of recent PCU nursing experience required Current acute care experience within the last 12 months BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required Experience with Epic preferred Education from an ACEN- or CCNE-accredited nursing program Comfort working with adult and geriatric patient populations Ability to work in a fast-paced surgical oncology and stepdown environment Responsibilities Provide high-quality nursing care for PCU and med-surg patients in a mixed-acuity surgical oncology setting Monitor and manage patients receiving chemotherapy, blood transfusions, IV antibiotics, insulin drips, and heparin drips Support care for oncologic emergencies, including cytokine release syndrome Perform chest tube care and assist with telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation Maintain a strong focus on infection prevention and patient fall reduction Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support safe, coordinated patient care Adapt to changing unit needs and provide support across assigned acute care oncology areas Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care to adults and geriatrics in a high-acuity environment Apply now to join this travel nursing opportunity in Columbus, Ohio, and bring your PCU and surgical oncology experience to a rewarding acute care assignment.
