Job Details Setting: Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU)

Employment Type: Travel RN / Travel Nurse Assignment Location: Columbus, Ohio 43210 Start Date: 11/02/2026 Duration: 13 weeks Shift Duration: 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)

Hours Per Week: 36 Schedule: Weekdays with some weekends; rotating holidays Weekend Coverage: Minimum 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule block Orientation: 36 hours Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,940 - $2,040 Patient Ratio: 1:1–2 Patient Population: Adult cardiovascular, vascular, thoracic, and post-operative critical care patients Float Requirement: May float within units of equivalent or lower acuity as needed Job Requirements Active RN license in hand at time of submission At least 1 year of critical care RN experience required; 2 years of Cardiac ICU or CVICU experience preferred BLS and ACLS certification required NIHSS certification required Epic charting experience required Previous travel nursing experience preferred Graduation from an ACEN- or CCNE-accredited nursing program Strong experience with hemodynamic monitoring, ventilators, and vasoactive medications strongly preferred Responsibilities Provide expert critical care nursing to high-acuity CVICU patients with complex cardiac, vascular, thoracic, and post-surgical needs Monitor and manage patients receiving advanced therapies, including mechanical circulatory support and invasive hemodynamic monitoring Assess, plan, and implement individualized care for patients with conditions such as CABG, valve repair/replacement, TAVR, ECMO, VADs, and respiratory failure Titrate cardiac drips and vasoactive medications, manage ventilated patients, and respond quickly to changes in patient status Collaborate closely with the interdisciplinary critical care team to support safe, high-quality patient outcomes Maintain accurate documentation in Epic and uphold unit protocols and best practices Float within the organization as needed to support units of similar or lower acuity Apply now for this CVICU travel RN opportunity in Columbus, Ohio, and join a healthcare team committed to exceptional cardiac critical care.
