The ideal candidate will excel in providing high-quality patient care, particularly in cardiac care settings.

Shift Notes Start Time: 1845 Schedule: 3x12 hour shifts Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend On-Call Requirement: No on-call duties Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Holiday Requirements Contractors are required to work 1-2 out of 3 upcoming Winter holidays unless the unit is closed. Job Responsibilities Provide comprehensive nursing care in the Med Surg/Telemetry unit. Administer medications and monitor patient responses, particularly for cardiac-related treatments. Utilize the EPIC electronic medical record system for patient documentation. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Maintain compliance with nursing standards and protocols.

Qualifications Current state license is required.

Experience with EMR systems, specifically EPIC, is required. Cardiac experience is essential. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.

NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification is required. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification is preferred. Completion of at least one travel nursing contract is preferred but not mandatory.

New graduates are welcome to apply. Must have a valid driver's license with a taxable address outside a 50-mile radius from the facility. No employment with UnityPoint in the last 12 months is required.
