Job Title Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical / Telemetry Location Prescott, AZ | Acute Care Schedule / Job Type Contract | Night Shift | 12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM | 30-minute unpaid lunch | Schedules made 4 weeks in advance with self-scheduling (subject to manager balancing) | 2 weekends required per 4-week schedule Key Responsibilities Provide direct patient care on a combined Surgical/Neuro Telemetry unit (48 beds across two units) with a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio Manage a diverse patient population including respiratory, GI, diabetic, telemetry, TIA/CVA, and general, orthopedic, and spinal surgical patients Interpret and sign telemetry strips at least once per shift (remote monitoring supported by telemetry techs) Administer and manage set-rate drips (e.g., Diltiazem at a set rate); titration of drips is not required Collaborate with charge nurses, house supervisors, and nurse aides (1:10–15 ratio) to ensure quality patient care May be required to float to an alternate campus or PCU if qualified Required Qualifications Active RN license valid in the state of Arizona Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required Ability to read and interpret basic telemetry strips Experience with general and orthopedic surgical patients, as well as CVA and TIA patient populations Must be prepared for a condensed unit orientation of 1 shift on the unit Preferred Experience / Skills Experience with Cerner EMR strongly recommended given the brief orientation period Familiarity with BiPAP, CPAP, high-flow oxygen, and breathing treatment equipment Prior experience in a Telemetry or Medical Surgical/Neuro setting Why Join Us Work in a well-supported unit environment with charge nurses who carry no patient assignment and dedicated telemetry monitoring technicians Benefit from a structured self-scheduling model that provides visibility into your schedule up to four weeks in advance Concentric Healthcare Staffing Job ID 799235.
