Job Title Registered Nurse – Emergency Room Location Roanoke Rapids, NC | Acute Care Schedule / Job Type Contract | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | 12-hour shifts | Expected 36 hours/week Key Responsibilities Provide direct patient care in a 28-bed Emergency Department with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio Manage high-acuity presentations including COVID, CHF, Trauma, Sepsis, and CVA Perform and assist with advanced procedures such as intubation, chest tubes, and dislocations Assess and treat common ED diagnoses including chest pain, abdominal pain, shortness of breath, and MVC Administer and monitor a broad range of emergency medications including analgesics, antiemetics, bronchodilators, and IV fluids Utilize teleneurology services and apply NIH Stroke Certification knowledge in the care of stroke patients Required Qualifications Active RN license (Compact license accepted) Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room experience Level II or Level III ED experience required BLS – American Heart Association certification required ACLS – American Heart Association certification required PALS – American Heart Association certification required Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification required Must reside at least 80 miles from the facility to be eligible Preferred Experience / Skills NIH Stroke Certification preferred Experience with Belmont rapid infuser or similar advanced resuscitation equipment Familiarity with teleneurology workflows in an emergency setting Why Join Us Work in a dynamic, high-acuity Emergency Department with a structured orientation program designed to set you up for success Gain exposure to a diverse range of critical diagnoses and advanced procedures in a supportive clinical environment Concentric Healthcare Staffing Job ID 798248.
