Details Medical Surgical Combination unit in a 205-bed Joint Commission accredited hospital 48-bed unit with a 1:6 patient ratio Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM Every other weekend required No on-call requirements Rare floating to inpatient rehab or ER for tasking Uses Paragon EHR Requirements Active RN license (NC or Compact) required Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg experience with at least one completed travel assignment required Must be able to start IVs, insert foley catheters, and insert NG tubes Experience performing EKGs and managing heparin drips required Experience with high patient turnover in a 1:6 ratio setting preferred Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration AHA certifications required Additional Information Provide direct care to adult Med/Surg patients in a high-turnover unit Candidates must reside 60 miles or more from the facility to qualify for the travel rate Permanent residence cannot be within 60 miles of the facility Cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the past 12 months Cannot be employed elsewhere on a full-time basis while on assignment American Traveler Job ID P-779854.
