Job Description & Requirements Specialty: PCU - Progressive Care Unit Discipline: RN Start Date: 11/09/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours Employment Type: Travel Submission Requirements Active Ohio (OH) RN License or Compact RN License required. Minimum 2 years of recent specialty experience required. BLS Certification required. First-Time Travelers First-time travelers are welcome to apply. Unit Overview 5 South - Neurosurgery, General Surgery & Trauma Stepdown Patient Population Elective neurosurgery, intracranial hemorrhage, DKA, altered mental status, sepsis, oncology patients, and trauma patients.

Patient Ratios Typical ratio: 5:1 Required Skills Candidates should have experience with: NG tube placement and care Tube feedings and TPN BiPAP Airvo therapy Wound vac management Dressing changes Strong neurological assessments Management of drips including: Amiodarone Dobutamine Heparin Lasix Insulin Chest tube management Drain care Technology & Equipment EMR: Cerner IV Pumps: Alaris Medication Dispensing: Omnicell Monitors: Philips Unit Equipment: Philips Telemetry, Dynamaps, Arjo Lifts Floating Floating may occur to other units at the same level of care (PCU/Stepdown). Travelers will be notified at the beginning of the shift if floating is required.
