Details Work in the MS/Tele unit of a short-term acute care, Level I Trauma Center academic medical center Patient ratios average 1:5 days, 1:6 nights, and 1:5 weekends Day shift schedule, 3x12 hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM Required to work every other weekend Floating within scope required to meet facility needs No on-call requirements Epic EMR used for charting Requirements Active RN license (CT or Compact) required prior to start date Current BLS certification required Minimum 2 years of telemetry nursing experience required (1.5 years accepted if from a Level I trauma center or large hospital)

Skills in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and emergency response required Experience with Rapid Response/Code teams required Proficiency in isolation precautions and PPE use required Experience with non-invasive airway management, IV therapy/phlebotomy, and peripheral line care required One professional reference required for consideration Additional Information Provide telemetry nursing care including cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia management Participate in rapid response and code team activities as needed Candidates must have trauma center experience at a large facility Flu vaccine required with no declinations accepted COVID-19 vaccine and booster required, with religious or medical exemptions only Travelers may be expected to participate in natural disaster or emergency response activities First-time travelers are welcome to apply Former staff members must have been separated from the facility for at least 2 years to return as a traveler Up to 7 days of RTO can be auto-approved Local candidates not accepted if residing within 75 miles of the facility American Traveler Job ID P-781232.
