Travel Nursing Job Details Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,120–$2,230 Location: Lynchburg, Virginia Specialty: Operating Room Nursing – Orthopedic Services Start Date: October 19, 2026 Assignment End Date: January 16, 2027 Duration: 13-week travel nursing contract Schedule: 10-hour day shifts Hours: Approximately 40 hours per week Call Requirement: 1–2 nights of call per week, plus three 24-hour weekend call shifts during the assignment Call Response Time: 30 minutes Float Requirement: None Operating Room Registered Nurse Requirements Active Virginia or Compact Registered Nurse (RN) license at the time of submission At least 2 years of recent operating room or perioperative nursing experience Strong orthopedic surgical nursing background Previous travel nursing experience required Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Prior Cerner experience preferred Ability to meet the required 30-minute call response time Availability for the full 13-week assignment and scheduled call rotations Operating Room Nurse Responsibilities Provide safe, high-quality perioperative nursing care for patients undergoing orthopedic procedures Prepare operating rooms, equipment, instruments, and supplies for scheduled surgeries Function effectively in the circulating and/or scrub role according to experience and unit needs Collaborate with orthopedic surgeons, anesthesia providers, surgical technologists, and the broader healthcare team Maintain sterile technique and support infection prevention and patient safety standards Monitor patient status, anticipate surgical needs, and respond promptly to changes in condition Complete accurate clinical documentation and support safe transitions of care Participate in assigned nighttime and weekend call coverage Apply now to join this orthopedic travel nursing assignment in Lynchburg, Virginia, and bring your operating room expertise to a collaborative surgical team.
