Details Mixed acuity MS/Tele unit caring for both PCU and MS patients Oncology patient population may be included; oncology experience preferred but not required Night shift (3x12 Hours), 19:00-7:30, with possible rotation to day shift based on department needs Shift assignments reviewed every 4-week scheduling period, though changes are not guaranteed Patient ratio of 1:5 Required to float within units of equivalent or lower acuity level Uses Epic EMR Requirements Active OH or compact RN license required at time of consideration Minimum 2 years of RN experience required Acute care experience must be current and within the last 12 months, in the specialty applied for Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program BLS certification required ACLS, NIHSS, and OCN certifications preferred Epic EMR experience required Skills required: IV starts, cardiac monitoring/telemetry, tracheostomy care/management, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias Oncology skills such as chemotherapy administration preferred Respiratory skills such as BiPAP/CPAP management preferred 2 professional references required, with at least one from a manager, director, or supervisor; charge RN acceptable for second reference; coworker references not accepted Additional Information Provide care for mixed acuity patients across PCU and MS/Tele levels Candidates should come with a willingness to learn and grow their nursing practice First-time travelers are welcome to apply Local candidates accepted at the same rate Former employees eligible for travel assignment after 6 months away from the facility Current employees of any Ohio State University hospital location are ineligible for traveler positions RTO must be submitted with the contract and built in, limited to 7 days or less Ohio fingerprinting process must be completed urgently upon contract signing due to compliance deadlines American Traveler Job ID P-765620.
