Details 37-bed surgical unit that also accepts overflow medicine patients Patient ratios of 4 patients per RN from 0700-2300 and 5-6 patients per RN from 2300-0700 Night shift schedule, 4x12 hours from 19:00-7:30 Every 3rd weekend required No on-call requirements Float within scope to meet facility needs, including to affiliate hospitals nearby Uses Epic (Excellian) charting system Requirements Active MN RN license required (pending license accepted) BLS certification required Minimum 2 years of experience required Epic/Excellian charting experience required Experience with GI, respiratory, IV therapy/phlebotomy, genitourinary/renal, and wound care skills preferred Experience with bariatric surgery, colostomy/ileostomy care, tracheostomy care, central line blood draws, PICC line management, and wound vac care preferred 1 supervisor reference required for consideration Date of birth, SSN, and copy of certifications required for consideration Additional Information Located in an acute care teaching hospital with Level 3 trauma designation First-time travelers are welcome to apply Candidates must live at least 100 miles from the facility to be eligible, as locals are not accepted for this position Returning staff must have a 3-month gap since their last shift worked as a perm employee (staff or per diem) RTO requests should ideally be no more than 5 days Pre-start modules are required prior to beginning the assignment American Traveler Job ID P-777321.
