Details Hospital setting with 289 beds Speech Therapy unit staffed by 2 PRN and 1 FT speech therapist (NICU), with 1 open FT role for Adult Inpatient Will frequently serve as the sole speech therapist covering adult inpatient care Patient population includes inpatient and outpatient adults requiring Modified Barium Swallow (MBS) studies Treats patients in ICU and CVICU, including trach patients Daily duties include speech evaluations and treatments, Passy Muir valve trials, cognitive and language assessments Documentation system: Meditech Expanse Schedule: 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM Requires working 2 weekend days per month 13-week assignment Requirements Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required BLS certification required Florida SLP license required if applicable Minimum 2 years of experience required Comfortable performing inpatient and outpatient Modified Barium Swallow (MBS) studies Experience treating ICU and CVICU patients, including trach care Ability to prioritize patients across multiple units and floors Comfortable with interdisciplinary communication with physicians and residents Additional Information Conduct caregiver training and expressive/receptive language assessments Must be adaptable to a fast-paced environment and able to function independently Light gray scrub color required Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; no local candidates accepted American Traveler Job ID P-777297.
