The successful candidate will have extensive experience in medical/surgical and telemetry nursing and the ability to manage patients with acute or chronic conditions. Work in a teaching hospital with a Level 1 Trauma Designation, offering a collaborative team environment.

Charting System: EPIC Unit Bed Count: 35 Patient Ratios: RN: 1:4-6 Floating: All adult med surg / telemetry units in house Responsibilities Manage and care for patients with acute or chronic disease and post-op surgeries Perform clinical assessments and provide med-surg nursing care Manage and interpret cardiac monitoring and telemetry IV insertion and central line management Coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams Discharge planning and patient education management Qualifications Required: Minimum of 2 years Med/Tele RN experience BLS (Basic Life Support) BCR (Basic Cardiac Rhythm); must pass EKG competency exam Strong clinical assessment and med-surg nursing skills Skills in trach care, chest tube management, and PIV starts Experience with glucommander, insulin drips, and heparin drips Proficient in wound care, post-op monitoring, and cardiac monitoring Preferred: ACLS certification National Medical-Surgical certification Job Type Travel Nursing Benefits Free parking available or paid parking in decks PEL/VIP Job ID 65212636.
