Details Acute Care Hospital setting with a fast-paced environment Patient population includes medically complex cases Day shift, 5x8 hours, Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM Meditech experience preferred Requirements Minimum 1 year of experience required Acute Care experience required BLS certification required NBCOT certification required Current Kentucky OT license, or compact license if applicable Experience with prosthetics/orthotics, including above and below knee prosthetics Experience with splinting techniques including static, functional, and dynamic splints Skilled in modalities such as electrical stimulation, TENS, ultrasound, and edema massage Experience with patient/family education, home exercise programs, and lifting and transfer techniques Additional Information Work with adult patients including amputees, CVA, TBI, spinal cord injury, and orthopedic conditions such as hip and knee replacements Perform evaluations using tools such as Functional Independence Measure (FIM) and adaptive equipment assessments Responsible for documentation including assessments, plans of care, reassessments, and discharge planning Provide patient education on safety and injury prevention First-time travelers may be considered if a strong candidate Local candidates are not accepted; must reside within 65-mile radius for travel rate eligibility Must live within 30 minutes of the facility in case of emergency Requested time off (RTO) must be submitted and approved prior to confirmation American Traveler Job ID P-777308.
