Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Med Surg / Telemetry Discipline: RN Start Date: 11/23/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (RN) Position Overview This is a 13-week contract position for a Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in telemetry care. The role involves working night shifts on a 12-hour schedule, with a requirement to work every other weekend. The RN will be responsible for managing boarding patients in the emergency department and will encounter an average of 40 patients daily while waiting for inpatient bed availability. Unit Information The unit typically maintains a patient-to-nurse ratio of 5:1.

Experience with boarding patients in the emergency department is essential for this position.

Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts Proven experience working with patients in a telemetry setting Familiarity with Level 1 trauma protocols Proficiency in the Epic electronic health record system Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from AHA Orientation and Scrubs Orientation is conducted weekly, and any color of scrubs is permitted. Compliance Requirements Day 1 telemetry testing is required. Practice tests will be completed during onboarding, with a pass/fail criterion within two attempts.

Additionally, candidates must be separated from their previous employment within the system for at least six months and be in good standing to be considered for this position.
