Details Med/Surg unit within a Level I Trauma Center teaching hospital 22-bed unit with a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:5-6 General med surg patient population including renal, transplant, and urology cases Night shift schedule with 3x12-hour shifts totaling 36 hours per week Every 3rd weekend required No on-call requirements Required to float across multiple campuses to like units (MWH, ILH, IMMC) Uses Epic EMR Requirements Active IA RN license or compact/multistate license required at time of consideration Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC) required Minimum of 24 months recent Med/Surg experience in a hospital or medical center setting required Strong experience in Renal and Urology required Proficient Transplant care experience required Level II trauma experience required Level I trauma experience highly preferred At least one travel contract completed within the previous 15 months required Epic EMR experience required Skills checklist specific to Med/Surg discipline required for consideration Driver's license required for consideration Supervisory performance evaluation or reference from within the past 24 months preferred Additional Information Provide direct patient care to a general Med/Surg population with a focus on renal, transplant, and urology cases Navy blue scrubs required Holiday coverage required: must work 1-2 of the 3 upcoming winter holidays and must be available to work Thanksgiving Limited time off requests permitted during the Thanksgiving and winter holiday periods Candidates must not reside within 50 miles of the facility based on driver's license address Former UnityPoint Health employees (FTE or PRN float pool) are ineligible to work travel assignments at any UPH market facility if employed within the past 12 months American Traveler Job ID P-769377.
