Details Work in the Med/Surg Tele unit of a 528-bed acute care teaching hospital Patient ratios range from 1:5 to 1:7 13-week contract with night (7p-7a) and day (7a-7p) shift options, 3x12 hours Every other weekend required Must be available every other holiday if needed Floating required within skillset EPIC charting experience required Requirements Active NY Single State RN license required in hand (NY is not Compact) Current BLS certification required; NIHSS preferred Minimum 2 years of experience required Must have worked in acute care within the past 6 months Cardiac monitoring and emergency response skills, including dysrhythmia interpretation/management and Rapid Response/Code team activation IV therapy/phlebotomy and peripheral line care/management experience Experience with nasal cannula, oxygen administration, and non-invasive airway management Isolation precautions/PPE experience required Additional Information Hospital is Magnet-recognized and certified as an Advanced Thrombectomy Capable Stroke Center Affiliated with Cleveland Clinic and Roswell Park, offering specialized services through multiple institutes including cardiac, cancer, and neuroscience programs Scrubs must be navy blue and/or white RNs must live more than 75 miles from the facility to be considered; local LPNs are accepted First-time travelers are welcome to apply Facility may cancel up to three shifts during the 13-week contract without charge American Traveler Job ID P-775669.
