Details Medical Surgical unit within a hospital setting Med/Surg patient population with centralized telemetry monitoring Day shift schedule, 4x12-hour shifts from 7:00 to 19:30, with 36 or 48 hour options Patient ratio of 1:6 Floating required to units of equal or lesser acuity Unit includes a free floating charge nurse and a house discharge nurse who floats across departments Epic EMR used for charting Requirements Active TX or compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration Current BLS certification Minimum 1 year of inpatient Med/Surg experience required Recent Epic charting experience within the past 6 months required Skilled in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, and emergency response Experience with isolation precautions and PPE Skilled in respiratory care including nasal cannula and IV therapy/phlebotomy Experience with peripheral line care and management Additional Information First-time travelers are welcome to apply for this position Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility, as local candidates are not accepted Former staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler No more than 3 days of RTO will be auto-approved, and no RTO is permitted during the first week of orientation Travel pairs or groups are not accepted American Traveler Job ID P-775567.
