Job Title Registered Nurse – IMC/PCU/Stepdown Location Maryville, TN | Intermediate Care / Progressive Care Unit Schedule / Job Type Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | Every other weekend required Key Responsibilities Provide direct patient care in an Intermediate Care / Progressive Care / Stepdown unit setting Monitor and assess patients requiring a higher level of observation than general medical-surgical floors Float to other units and/or campuses as needed based on census, within the scope of demonstrated and documented competencies Complete all required pre-assignment testing and compliance modules within 48 hours of receiving login credentials Participate in annual compliance requirements, including facility orientation held every Monday Required Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license Minimum 2 years of recent IMC/PCU/Stepdown experience required; candidates with 1 year of recent unit-specific experience may be considered ACLS certification required BLS certification required NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required Minimum 1 year of recent EPIC EMR experience required Prior travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers are not eligible for this assignment Must reside more than 50 miles from the contracted facility to be eligible (night shift applicants); candidates between 50–99.9 miles may be considered under modified terms Preferred Experience / Skills Experience with cardiac telemetry or adult multi-specialty care Familiarity with travel nursing compliance processes and pre-assignment module completion Why Join Us Pre-assignment compliance modules are billable (up to 16 hours of reimbursement may be available), offering compensation for your time before your contract even begins Opportunity to work in a structured progressive care environment with a clear float policy that keeps staff within their areas of demonstrated competency Concentric Healthcare Staffing Job ID 794181.
