Schedule: 3x12s Rotating weekends and holidays Float within scope as needed Block scheduling is not available The 4G/Progressive Care Unit (PCU)/Tele specializes in the care of adult and geriatric patients who require cardiac monitoring and a higher level of observation than a Medical-Surgical unit but do not require intensive care. Common patient populations include: ? Congestive Heart Failure (CHF) ? NSTEMI ? Pre-cardiac catheterization patients ? Stroke ? Pulmonary disorders ? Diabetes ? Multi-system disease ? Post-surgical patients Staffing Ratios ? 12 PCU beds: 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio ?

Telemetry patients: Typically 1:5, with a maximum ratio of 1:6 Requirements ? Minimum 3 years of RN experience ? MD or compact license in hand ? no exceptions! ?
