Job Description & Requirements Specialty: ICU - Intensive Care Unit Discipline: RN Start Date: 12/14/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 48 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, rotating Employment Type: Travel ICU Registered Nurse (RN) Position Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled ICU Registered Nurse to join our dynamic team in a Level III Trauma Center's Intensive Care Unit (ICU). This role involves providing high-quality care to a diverse range of adult patients, including those with complex medical conditions. Unit Description The ICU consists of a 20-bed facility where we manage adult patients with various diagnoses such as: Substance Abuse/Overdose Severe Psychiatric Conditions Diabetic Ketoacidosis (DKA) Sepsis GI Bleed Respiratory Failure Cardiac Arrest Renal Failure Cardiogenic Shock Attendings and residents are present in the ICU 24 hours a day to provide support and guidance.

Responsibilities Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU. Monitor and interpret telemetry strips and assess patient vital signs. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.

Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop patient care plans. Float to Medical/Surgical Units as needed, managing 4-5 patients during this time. Work rotating shifts including days, evenings, and nights.

Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of continuous experience in a Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) or similar adult ICU setting. Active Massachusetts RN License. Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications. Telemetry competency required. Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Additional Information This position offers free on-site parking and has a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2 or 1:1 with high acuity patients. Floating to other medical-surgical areas may be required. Wellspring Nurse Source Job ID 38209800.
