Details Work in a 17-bed LDRP unit handling labor, postpartum, couplet care, and triage Unit averages about 80 deliveries per month 12-hour night shift schedule Floating required to all departments as needed Required to work 6 weekend shifts per 6-week period On-call requirement of 3 shifts per 6-week period Holiday coverage per unit needs Requirements Active AK RN license required (must begin application within 24 hours of acceptance if not already licensed in AK) Current BLS, ACLS, NRP, and Fetal Monitoring certifications required 3 years of recent Labor and Delivery experience in a hospital setting required Recent experience with postpartum, couplet care, and circulating for C-Sections required Previous travel nursing experience required 5 years of RN experience preferred Additional Information Provide nursing care across labor, postpartum, couplet care, and triage areas Free private 1-bedroom housing provided for 1 occupant (pets not permitted) Optional housing allowance available for those not using provided housing A personal vehicle is recommended for transportation during winter months Up to 14 days of requested time off allowed, including a maximum of 4 weekend shifts, and must be requested at time of submission Candidates must reside 50 miles outside of Fairbanks Fingerprints must be mailed to the Alaska Department of Health and Services within 48 hours of offer acceptance American Traveler Job ID P-762151.
