Details Work in a hospital Emergency Department-Trauma unit Care for patients with medical, surgical, cardiac, neurological, psychiatric, pediatric, and trauma-related emergencies Night shift schedule from 19:00 to 07:30 12-week assignment length Requirements Active TN or compact RN license required Current BLS certification (AHA) required ACLS certification (AHA) required PALS certification (AHA) may be required TNCC certification may be preferred or required Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required Prior emergency department, critical care, or acute-care nursing experience preferred Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start Copy of driver's license required for consideration Two professional references required for consideration Additional Information Perform rapid patient assessments and triage based on severity and urgency Administer medications, IV fluids, blood products, and other treatments as ordered Assist with emergency procedures including CPR, trauma resuscitation, intubation, and wound care Operate emergency equipment such as cardiac monitors, defibrillators, infusion pumps, and ventilators Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and other healthcare team members Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, and discharge instructions Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic health record Participate in emergency preparedness and quality-improvement initiatives Radius rule applies, allowing local candidates at a reduced rate depending on distance from the facility COVID-19 vaccination is not required American Traveler Job ID P-763543.
