Details 36-bed Neurosciences unit with a 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM shift schedule Staffing includes 1 charge nurse, 6 RNs, CNAs, and a HUC per shift Patient ratios of 5:1 to 6:1 on days and 7:1 on nights Standard med-surg equipment used on the unit Cerner EMR used for documentation Common procedures include Foley catheter insertion and IV starts Floating required to other med-surg floors Every other weekend shift required Requirements Active RN license (NC or compact) required Current ACLS and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications required Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience required Neuro experience preferred No work history gaps of 90 days within the past 12 months Additional Information Provide direct patient care to neuroscience and telemetry patients Outgoing, self-motivated personality is a strong fit for this unit New staff receive a reference book at the start of the contract Navy blue scrubs required Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility Local candidates will not be considered American Traveler Job ID P-781076.
