Details General medical/surgical and urology surgery unit caring for post-op patients requiring overnight stays Patient population includes prostatectomy, mastectomy, abdominal surgery, and thyroidectomy cases Administers Heparin drips Uses Epic EMR Night shift, 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with 36 or 48 hour/week options available Every other weekend required No call requirements Floating to other Med Surg/Tele units and local campuses required within the same discipline Requirements Active Iowa (IA) or compact RN license required 2 years of Med Surg/Telemetry experience required Epic EMR experience required Active BLS certification (AHA preferred; ARC or US Military accepted) Active NIHSS certification required Skills checklist specific to Med Surg/Tele required Supervisory reference or performance evaluation completed within the last two years required Valid driver's license required Additional Information Contribute professional and clinical knowledge as part of an interdisciplinary care team Located at a Level 3 Trauma Center Navy blue scrub dress code Required to work 2 of 3 winter holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, New Year's Day) Limited to 1 day off request during designated holiday blackout periods First-time travelers are welcome to apply Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible Past UnityPoint Health employees (FTE or PRN float pool) are restricted from travel assignments at other UPH markets within 12 months of separation American Traveler Job ID P-780644.
