Job Details Position: Travel Registered Nurse – Med/Surg Telemetry Employment Type: Travel Nursing Location: Quincy, Illinois Assignment Length: 13 weeks Shift Duration: 12-hour day shifts Hours Per Week: 36 guaranteed hours Shift Pattern: 3 x 12-hour shifts per week Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,090 - $2,200 Charting System: EPIC Care Setting: Acute care hospital Float Requirement: Float to like units only; higher-acuity floats would function as help without a patient assignment Orientation: Unit orientation provided on the first shift Job Requirements Active Registered Nurse (RN) license At least 1 year of nursing experience, with medical-surgical and/or surgical experience required EPIC experience required Current BLS certification Current NIHSS certification Experience with total joint patients preferred Comfort with telemetry interpretation and reading strips independently Experience managing heparin drips and protocol-based titration Strong familiarity with PCA pumps , reversal agents, TPN/lipids , narcotic use, and sepsis management Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with heavy patient volume Ability to work rotating holidays and every other weekend Responsibilities Provide safe, compassionate care to Med/Surg Telemetry patients in an acute-care setting Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions using EPIC EMR Interpret telemetry strips and respond appropriately to changes in patient status Administer medications and manage therapies including heparin drips per protocol Care for a variety of post-op and medical-surgical patients, including orthopedic, neuro, vascular, and abdominal cases Support patients with PCA pumps, TPN, lipids, IV antibiotics, and related treatments Collaborate with charge nurses, CNAs, tele techs, and interdisciplinary team members to deliver quality patient care Assist with admissions, discharges, and rapid changes in patient census Maintain a team-oriented approach while prioritizing patient safety, efficiency, and clinical excellence Apply now to join this rewarding Quincy, IL nursing job and advance your career in travel RN jobs , medical-surgical nursing , and telemetry nursing today.
