NICU Travel Nursing Job Details Specialty: Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)

Registered Nurse Location: Fort Wayne, Indiana 46805 Contract: 13 weeks Start Date: November 2, 2026 End Date: February 1, 2027 Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,250–$2,370 Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Shift: 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m.

Unit: 31-bed Level II NICU with typical 1:1 or 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratios Charting and Medication Systems: EPIC and Pyxis Orientation: Eight-hour days scheduled Monday through Friday during week one and Monday through Tuesday during week two; attendance is required for all scheduled orientation days NICU Registered Nurse Job Requirements At least 2 years of Level III NICU nursing experience Current Indiana Registered Nurse license, or eligibility to obtain one before the assignment begins Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification Ability to provide safe, compassionate neonatal nursing care in an acute-care environment Flexibility to float to age-appropriate pediatric or pediatric intensive care assignments as needed NICU RN Responsibilities Provide comprehensive nursing care to neonates in a Level II NICU Assess patient conditions, monitor clinical changes, and promptly communicate concerns to the interdisciplinary care team Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately using established protocols Document assessments, interventions, and patient outcomes in EPIC Support families through education, communication, and compassionate bedside care Maintain a safe, organized clinical environment and follow infection prevention and patient-safety standards Float to age-appropriate pediatric or pediatric intensive care areas when required by unit needs Apply now to join this Indiana travel nursing opportunity and make a meaningful difference in neonatal patient care in Fort Wayne.
