Job Details Position Type: Travel Registered Nurse Specialty: CVOR / Cardiovascular Operating Room Location: Carbondale, IL 62901 Contract Length: 13 weeks Start Date: 09/14/2026 Shift: 12-hour day shifts Shift Hours: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM Hours Per Week: 36 Call: Required as needed Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,470 - $2,600 Job Requirements Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license Current CPR/BLS certification Current ACLS certification At least 1 year of recent nursing experience preferred Previous CVOR, operating room, or cardiovascular surgical experience strongly preferred Ability to work collaboratively in a high-acuity surgical and perioperative setting Willingness to float to clinically appropriate units within scope, licensure, and competency as needed Responsibilities Provide direct patient care in the cardiovascular operating room as a CVOR Registered Nurse Assist with preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative nursing needs Support safe, efficient surgical workflows, sterile technique, and patient positioning Monitor patients closely and respond quickly to changes in condition Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and the perioperative team Maintain accurate documentation and follow established clinical protocols Participate in call coverage and support patient care across assigned clinical areas as needed Apply now for this exciting CVOR travel nursing job in Carbondale, IL , and take the next step in your cardiovascular operating room career.
