Travel Nursing Job Details Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,930–$2,030 Assignment Length: 13 weeks Start Date: November 2, 2026 Schedule: 36 guaranteed hours per week Shift: 12-hour day shifts, 6:30 a.m.–7:00 p.m.

Unit: 34-bed cardiac and renal medical-surgical telemetry unit Typical Patient Ratio: 1:4–5 on day shift Weekend/Holiday Rotation: Three weekends in every six-week schedule and every other holiday Floating: May float within the nurse’s skill set to nearby campuses with advance notice when cross-campus coverage is needed Orientation: 12 hours Scrubs: Navy blue scrubs without competing health system or agency logos Travel RN Job Requirements Active compact Registered Nurse (RN) license Associate degree or nursing certificate At least 2 years of strong cardiac and telemetry nursing experience At least 1 year of professional nursing experience, including one completed travel assignment Level II trauma experience Current AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, and NIHSS certifications Recent EPIC charting experience and willingness to complete a charting checkoff class Ability to successfully complete required telemetry testing Strong assessment, communication, critical-thinking, adaptability, and teamwork skills Must reside outside the 40-mile local-radius requirement for this travel assignment Medical-Surgical Telemetry RN Responsibilities Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients recovering from cardiac procedures, including heart catheterization, ablation, and pacemaker placement Monitor and manage patients with atrial fibrillation with rapid ventricular response, end-stage renal disease, congestive heart failure, sepsis, and other complex medical conditions Care for patients with tracheostomies, nephrostomy tubes, continuous bladder irrigation, renal biopsies, and behavioral health or detoxification needs Interpret telemetry and 12-lead EKG results and promptly identify changes in patient condition Recover post-cardiac catheterization patients, including management of femoral access sites and TR bands Insert and manage peripheral IVs and provide central line care Manage chest tubes, indwelling drains, and prescribed cardiac and medical infusions, including Cardizem, amiodarone, heparin, Lasix, and Protonix Apply CBI and CIWA or detoxification protocols according to clinical standards Document accurately in EPIC and communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary care team Support a positive learning environment by precepting students or new team members when assigned Apply now to join this cardiac and renal medical-surgical telemetry team as a Travel Registered Nurse in Newburgh, Indiana.
