Details Medical Surgical Combination unit in a 205-bed Joint Commission accredited hospital 48-bed unit with a 1:6 patient ratio Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM Every other weekend required No on-call requirements Rare floating possible to inpatient rehab or ER for tasking only Uses Paragon EHR Requirements Active RN license (NC or Compact) required Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg experience required At least one completed travel assignment required Must be able to start IVs, insert foley catheters, and insert NG tubes Experience performing EKGs and managing heparin drips required Experience with high turnover and 1:6 patient ratios preferred Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration Copies of required certifications must be provided for consideration Additional Information Facility is a Duke Lifepoint Hospital with an 'A' LeapFrog Hospital Safety Rating Region's largest and most comprehensive ED and freestanding ED with the largest and most advanced ICU and PCU Candidates must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to qualify for the travel rate Candidates who have worked permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full time while on assignment American Traveler Job ID P-778610.
