This contract role offers a unique opportunity to work in a high-acuity pediatric critical care environment, caring for complex medical and surgical patient populations.

Position Details: Assignment Length: 14 weeks Desired Start Date: 01/19/2027 Schedule Shift: 12H Rotating (Nights: 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM)

Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend (Saturday & Sunday)

Float Requirement: Yes, as needed On-Call Requirement: No Minimum Qualifications: BSN required Colorado RN License required New travelers considered Required Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience as a staff RN in a comparable PICU Experience caring for patients from birth through 21 years of age Experience with respiratory diagnoses requiring support ranging from nasal cannula to BiPAP/CPAP and mechanical ventilation Chronic childhood diseases, Sepsis, TBI, DKA, Seizure disorders, Oncology diagnoses, Metabolic disorders, Non-Accidental Trauma (NAT), Surgical patients including Neurosurgery, ENT, Orthopedics, and General Surgery Equipment Experience: Trilogy Ventilators, Servo Ventilators, Codman ICP Monitors, Medfusion Syringe Pumps, Baxter Large Volume IV Pumps Required Certifications: AHA BLS AHA PALS Preferred Qualifications: Minimum 2 years of PICU staff experience 1 year of travel experience in a teaching facility preferred Additional staff experience may be considered in place of limited travel experience Scheduling Options: Rotating Days/Nights Straight Nights No straight day positions available Floating Expectations: Travelers are eligible to float to all inpatient care areas, including Critical Care Units and Acute Care Floors. Travelers will not float to the Emergency Department (ED), OR/PACU, or Inpatient Psychiatry. The facility reserves the right to float or reassign personnel to other areas of practice within their clinical competence to fulfill the scheduled guaranteed hours and within thirty-five (35) miles of their originally assigned facility (unless otherwise agreed to in the individual assignment confirmation).
