Start Date: 11/09/2026 Duration: 13 weeks Join a leading acute-care hospital in Omaha, NE, as a Med Surg/Telemetry Registered Nurse. This position offers a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced, specialty medical/surgical unit focused on the acute and chronic needs of trauma patients. With a commitment to excellence, our facility is recognized for providing top-tier care and is a teaching hospital for the University of Nebraska Medical Center. The 9 Trauma unit consists of a 45-bed medical/surgical area that provides care to hemodynamically and medically stable trauma patients. As a Registered Nurse, you will be expected to float frequently to meet the staffing needs of the hospital. The nurse-to-patient ratios are typically 1:5 during the day and 1:6 at night, with rare instances of 1:7 at night depending on staffing levels.

Key Responsibilities: Provide high-quality nursing care to trauma patients. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed. Monitor patient conditions and report any changes to the healthcare team. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care. Utilize EPIC charting for documentation.

Requirements: Current BLS certification. Minimum of 2 years of prior experience in a large, urban hospital setting.

Experience with drips required on all floors. First-time travelers are not accepted unless they have 2 years of experience at a Level I Academic Medical Center. Must be willing to float within scope to meet facility needs, including potentially floating to Bellevue campus. 100% nicotine-free facility.

Additional Information: Weekend shifts: 4 out of 8 possible shifts in a 4-week period. Travelers must work 2 out of 3 major holidays. Up to two weeks of RTO permitted, submitted with application. Pending license accepted, but must be in hand at the time of submission for booking.
