Start Date: 11/22/2026 Duration: 13 weeks Join a leading acute-care hospital as a PCU Registered Nurse in Johnson City, TN. This contract position offers a unique opportunity to work in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU)/Step Down, where you will provide essential care to patients transitioning from intensive care. We have flexible scheduling options available, including 36/36, 36/48, and 48/48 schedules. Enjoy a work-life balance with no call and rotating weekends. As a PCU RN, you will be part of a dedicated team, actively participating in nursing student support and clinical education, helping to prepare the next generation of nurses.

Requirements: 2 years of experience in a PCU or similar setting Accepts first-time travelers AHA BLS certification (AHA ACLS and NIH certifications preferred) Tele experience preferred Travelers must live 100 miles from the facility General orientation will begin on Sundays, with online CBLs. We can start the traveler any Sunday that you can complete the compliance documents by the deadline. Please note that there will be 16 hours of non-billable orientation. The hospital reserves the right to cancel or call off one shift biweekly without a financial penalty if there is a decrease in census.
