Location Burlington, NC Assignment Duration This is a 13-week contract position. Schedule/Shift 3x12-hour shifts, Nights, 7 PM - 7:30 AM, every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday). No call required. Float required as needed. Job Description The unit is a 29-bed orthopedic and medical-surgical unit providing care to adult and geriatric patients. Specialties include total joint replacements, fracture repairs, and telemetry monitoring. The unit features a physical therapy gym, allowing patients to receive therapy without leaving the floor. Interdisciplinary support includes various teams such as IV therapy, phlebotomy, and social services.

Responsibilities Provide comprehensive nursing care to orthopedic patients, ensuring adherence to patient care standards and protocols. Oversee patient care activities, including charge RN responsibilities as required. Monitor telemetry and provide interventions as necessary.

Assist in the administration of medications and treatments as prescribed. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care. Required Experience Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with a focus on orthopedic and/or medical-surgical nursing.

Previous charge RN experience required.

Experience working with Epic charting system. Previous travel nursing experience preferred.

Certifications/Licensure Active Registered Nurse license in North Carolina required at the time of submission. BLS certification required.
