Travel Nursing Job Details Location: Pikeville, Kentucky Specialty: Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Nursing Assignment Type: 8-week travel nursing assignment Start Date: October 19, 2026 Shift: 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM–7:30 AM Guaranteed Hours: 48 hours per week Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,800–$1,890 Schedule: No blocked scheduling; every other weekend and holiday rotation required Floating: May float among Medical-Surgical, Telemetry, and other inpatient units as needed Radius Requirement: 75-mile rule applies Registered Nurse Job Requirements Active Kentucky Registered Nurse license or Compact Registered Nurse license At least 1 year of recent Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Registered Nurse experience Level I or Level II trauma experience required Associate degree or nursing certificate required Current American Heart Association BLS certification Current American Heart Association ACLS certification Current NIHSS certification Successful completion of an EKG assessment during the compliance process Experience with CareView and/or Epic preferred Ability to float throughout inpatient units and assist with patient care support duties when needed Medical-Surgical Telemetry RN Responsibilities Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult Medical-Surgical and Telemetry patients during 12-hour night shifts. Monitor cardiac rhythms, vital signs, laboratory results, and changes in patient condition. Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately in accordance with established protocols. Complete focused and comprehensive nursing assessments, care plans, clinical documentation, and patient education. Recognize and promptly respond to clinical deterioration and emergent patient needs. Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, therapists, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team. Float to Medical-Surgical, Telemetry, and other inpatient areas based on staffing and patient-care needs. Support a safe, respectful, and patient-centered care environment.
