Weekend Requirement: Five weekend shifts during each six-week schedule Contract Duration: 13 weeks Start Date: October 6, 2026 End Date: January 5, 2027 Position Type: Travel nursing contract Emergency Room RN Job Requirements Current Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in the State of Ohio At least 1 year of professional nursing experience; emergency department or emergency room nursing experience strongly preferred Associate degree in Nursing required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred Current CPR certification Strong assessment, critical-thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-acuity, fast-paced emergency care environment Effective interpersonal, communication, collaboration, and patient education skills Ability to safely perform duties requiring occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds and frequent lifting of up to 25 pounds Emergency Department RN Responsibilities Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care using the nursing process Provide safe, timely, and compassionate care to emergency department patients Administer medications and perform treatments accurately and safely Implement provider orders and promptly communicate significant patient observations or status changes Educate patients and families throughout the emergency care and discharge process Maintain thorough, accurate, and timely documentation of patient care Monitor equipment and supplies, report malfunctions, and help maintain a safe, clean emergency care environment Collaborate effectively with providers, coworkers, patients, and families Prioritize care, manage time effectively, and contribute to quality and patient safety initiatives Apply now to join our emergency department healthcare team as a travel ER Registered Nurse in Lancaster, Ohio.
