Job Details Position: PCU Registered Nurse (Progressive Care Unit RN)

Location: Columbus, OH 43210 Employment Type: Travel Nursing Schedule: 3 night shifts per week, 12 hours per shift Shift Hours: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM Contract Duration: 13 weeks Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,940 - $2,040 Patient Ratio: 1:4 Float Requirement: Required to float to other units as needed within the organization Weekend/Holiday Coverage: Rotating weekends and holidays Start Date: 11/02/2026 End Date: 02/01/2027 Job Requirements Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in hand at time of submission Minimum 2 years of PCU nursing or progressive care experience required BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required EPIC charting experience required Experience with neuro stepdown , stroke care, and progressive care preferred Ability to manage patients with complex neurological diagnoses and med-surg overflow Education from an ACEN- or CCNE-accredited nursing program Strong communication, adaptability, critical thinking, and teamwork skills Responsibilities Provide direct nursing care to adult PCU patients with stroke and other neurological conditions Monitor and assess patients for changes in neurological and medical status Administer and manage therapies such as TNK, heparin protocols, and post-TPA care Support patients recovering from craniotomy and other neurosurgical procedures Care for patients requiring lumbar drain management and close neurological observation Collaborate with respiratory therapy, radiology, pharmacy, physical therapy, and rapid response teams Maintain accurate documentation in EPIC and communicate effectively with the care team Follow isolation precautions, patient safety protocols, and evidence-based nursing practices Adapt to floating assignments and support unit needs as required Why Join This Columbus Travel Nursing Opportunity?
