Job Details Specialty: Progressive Care Unit (PCU) / Neuroscience PCU Position Type: Travel Registered Nurse Location: Richmond, VA 23219 Schedule: 12-hour night shifts Hours per Week: 36 Contract Length: 13 weeks Start Date: October 12, 2026 Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,020 - $2,130 Setting: Main neuroscience PCU with telemetry and progressive care patients Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend Holiday Requirement: 2 holidays required per contract Orientation: 16 hours Openings: 2 Job Requirements Active Virginia RN license or compact state RN license in hand at time of submission Minimum 2 years of recent registered nurse experience required EPIC charting experience required BLS certification required BSN preferred Experience with telemetry, dysrhythmia interpretation, and dysrhythmia management Comfort working with adult and geriatric patient populations Ability to work weekends and required holidays Willingness to float within scope as needed 2 professional references required Responsibilities Provide high-quality nursing care to PCU patients with neurologic, neurosurgical, ENT, surgical, and medical diagnoses Monitor telemetry patients and respond quickly to changes in cardiac rhythm and patient condition Care for patients with stroke, seizures, dementia, neuromuscular disorders, and trauma-related conditions Support stable ventilator patients within the progressive care setting as needed Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including respiratory services, IV teams, radiology, pharmacy, therapy, and rapid response resources Document accurately in EPIC and maintain clear, timely communication with the care team Adapt to changing patient needs while maintaining safe, patient-centered care Float within scope to support unit coverage when needed If you are an experienced PCU RN or travel nurse seeking your next Richmond healthcare job , we encourage you to apply now and join a respected neuroscience care team today.
