Details Medical-Surgical ICU setting within a hospital Night shift, 4x12-hour shifts from 19:00-7:00, with 36 or 48 hour options Patient ratio of 1:2 to 1:3 Uses Epic for charting Requirements Active TX or compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration Current BLS and ACLS certification required NIHSS and PALS certifications preferred Minimum 2 years of ICU experience preferred Previous charge nurse experience preferred Travel experience preferred but not required Epic charting experience preferred Experience with IV therapy, arterial lines, central lines, PICC lines, and blood product administration Experience managing ventilated patients, ABGs, and respiratory failure preferred Experience with CRRT/CVVHD and renal failure management preferred Cardiovascular ICU experience including IABP, Swan Ganz monitoring, and post cardiac surgery care preferred Neurological ICU experience including EVD, ICP monitoring, and stroke management preferred Additional Information Care for critically ill medical-surgical ICU patients requiring advanced monitoring and intervention Responsibilities may include managing patients with multisystem organ dysfunction, dysrhythmias, and emergency medication administration Candidates residing in Henderson, Anderson, Cherokee, Rusk, Panola, Smith, Gregg, Van Zandt, Wood, Upshur, Camp, Hopkins, Franklin, Titus, or Morris counties will not be considered Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility will not be considered as locals Previous staff must wait one year before returning as a traveler All RTO must be submitted at time of consideration, with no more than 3 days auto-approved and no RTO permitted during the first week of orientation Travel pairs or groups will not be considered American Traveler Job ID P-764155.
