Details IMC MedSurgical A unit functioning as a Critical Care Step-Down Unit Night shift schedule from 7p-7a 13-week full time assignment Requirements Active RN license (TX or compact) required Current BLS certification required (AHA only) Current ACLS certification required (AHA only) Minimum 2 years of related nursing specialty experience required BSN preferred Additional Information Provides nursing care using the full nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation Administers medications and treatments and monitors for side effects and treatment effectiveness Documents patient history, symptoms, medication, and care provided Addresses complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families Provides education to patients, family members, and caregivers based on identified learning needs Delegates and makes appropriate care assignments to other providers as needed Newly hired experienced RNs must attend New Nurses Orientation within the first 30 days of hire Candidates must live within 50 miles of the facility Returning employees who previously worked at any CHRISTUS facility must be separated for 6 months prior to starting a new travel assignment American Traveler Job ID P-763900.
