Home Health RN Job Details Location: Virginia Beach and Norfolk, Virginia Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,120–$2,230 Contract Dates: October 26, 2026–January 29, 2027 Contract Duration: Approximately 14 weeks Openings: 2 Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m.; five 8-hour shifts per week Weekly Hours: 40 hours guaranteed On-Call Requirement: One weekday each week and every fourth weekend Healthcare Setting: Home health and in-home skilled nursing Shift Duration: 8 hours Additional Information: Mileage between patient visits is reimbursed according to assignment guidelines Travel Nurse and Home Health RN Requirements Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license At least 1 year of professional nursing experience, including home health nursing experience Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher Strong clinical judgment, organization, communication, and time-management skills Ability to provide independent patient care in home settings and travel throughout assigned coverage areas Homecare Homebase experience preferred Professional scrubs in any color Home Health Registered Nurse Responsibilities Complete comprehensive admissions and initial patient assessments in the home setting Perform routine skilled nursing visits and develop individualized care plans based on patient needs Manage patient discharges, recertifications, and ongoing clinical documentation Provide wound care, including wound VAC management Collect and process ordered laboratory specimens Provide Foley catheter care and other skilled nursing interventions Educate patients and caregivers about medications, treatments, disease management, and safety Support medication education and management while monitoring patient response Communicate changes in patient condition to the appropriate members of the interdisciplinary care team Participate in the assigned weekday and weekend home health on-call rotation Apply now for this Virginia Beach and Norfolk home health nursing opportunity and make a meaningful difference in the lives of patients throughout coastal Virginia.
