Job Title Registered Nurse – Operating Room Location Baltimore, MD | Acute Care Schedule / Job Type Contract | Days | Rotating 2x8 and 2x12 shifts | Expected 40 hours/week Key Responsibilities Provide perioperative nursing care across a high-acuity OR environment supporting 17 different surgical services, including general, laparoscopic, and robotic cases Perform strong circulating duties throughout a variety of complex surgical procedures including Neuro, Ortho/Spine, Craniotomy, ENT, OMF, and Robotics (DaVinci XI & SP) Scrub in on cases as needed; strong scrub experience is highly valued Manage care for patients across all age ranges, from newborn through geriatric populations Participate in on-call coverage, with an expected 4 on-call shifts per 6-week schedule period and a 60-minute response time from time of call Float within the OR specialty as needed; participate in required weekend and holiday shifts as scheduled Required Qualifications Active RN license in Maryland or a valid Compact RN license at time of submission BLS certification (AHA only) required Minimum 2 years of OR RN experience required Prior travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers are not eligible for this position Must maintain a permanent address at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates may be considered — seek details from your recruiter Candidates must be comfortable floating within scope with no restrictions Preferred Experience / Skills Lead or charge RN experience in the OR setting CNOR, ACLS, PALS, or NIH certification Strong scrub experience across a variety of surgical specialties Experience with robotic surgical platforms, particularly DaVinci XI and SP systems Why Join Us Opportunity to work in one of the most complex OR environments on the East Coast, supporting a wide range of advanced surgical specialties and high-acuity patient populations Gain exposure to a high-volume OR setting with approximately 50–60 cases per day across 21 operating rooms Concentric Healthcare Staffing Job ID 799925.
