Details Acute Medical/Surgical unit setting Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM 13-week assignment Nurse-to-patient ratio of 5:1 or 6:1 Every other weekend required No on-call requirements Uses Epic EMR Candidates must be willing to float Requirements Active RN license (Louisiana or Compact) required BLS certification via AHA required 1 year of related nursing specialty experience preferred BSN preferred Additional Information Provide nursing care utilizing the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families Administer medications and treatments while monitoring for effectiveness and side effects Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and caregivers Dress code requires Ceil Blue scrubs Returning employees who previously worked at any CHRISTUS facility must have a 6-month separation period before being eligible for a travel assignment American Traveler Job ID P-780227.
