Schedule Pattern: Typically three 12-hour shifts per week Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse Requirements Current Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in Iowa At least 1 year of recent medical-surgical nursing experience Medical-surgical nursing competency and the ability to care for patients with varied diagnoses and acuity levels Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team Strong clinical judgment, communication, organization, and prioritization skills Completion of required credentialing, competency validation, and onboarding documentation Travel Nurse Responsibilities Assess, monitor, and document patients’ conditions throughout the nursing shift Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately Recognize changes in patient status and communicate concerns promptly to the appropriate members of the care team Collaborate with providers and interdisciplinary staff to coordinate effective patient care and discharge planning Educate patients and families regarding care plans, medications, treatment goals, and follow-up needs Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation in accordance with professional and facility standards Dubuque is a welcoming Mississippi River community known for its historic character, scenic surroundings, and vibrant local culture.
