Job Description & Requirements Specialty: OR - Operating Room Discipline: RN Start Date: 11/30/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 10 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Job Summary Operating Room nursing position for a night-shift charge role. The position supports surgical case coordination, room preparation, and independent management of scheduled procedures across general, robotic, urologic, gynecologic, vascular, thoracic, and related specialties. The role requires experienced travelers who are organized, clinically independent, and able to manage overnight operating room operations.

Job Details Schedule: Four 10-hour night shifts per week, 10:00 p.m.7:30 a.m., Sunday through Wednesday, for a minimum of 40 hours per week. The anticipated start date is 11/30/2026.

Required Qualifications: At least 2 years of operating room experience Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and CNOR certification Compact license in hand at submission Previous travel experience; first-time travelers are not accepted Thoracic and vascular experience sufficient to independently manage applicable cases Ability to function as the overnight charge nurse, coordinate cases, prepare rooms, and work independently Preferred Qualifications: Experience with charge responsibilities Experience with Epic Level I or Level II trauma experience Additional Information: Responsibilities include coordinating overnight cases, ensuring timely first-case starts, completing cases that arise, and setting up rooms for the following day when no cases are scheduled. Surgical specialties include robotics, general, urology, gynecology, bariatrics, minor vascular, plastics, thoracic, colorectal, gastrointestinal, gynecologic, orthopedic, neurological, otolaryngologic, and urologic procedures. Relevant procedures include thoracotomy, video-assisted thoracic surgery (VATS), vascular procedures, robotic surgery, hysterectomy, appendectomy, cholecystectomy, colon resection, nephrectomy, prostatectomy, thyroidectomy, and other advanced operating room procedures. Night-shift positions do not require call coverage. Weekend work may be requested based on department needs. Orientation includes 40 hours.
