Join Our Passionate Labor and Delivery Team Job Description: - Location: Dickson, TN - Unit Name: Women’s Services - Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM General Information: - Number of Beds: - LDRP: 9 beds - OBED: 1 bed - NICU: 4 beds - OR suite: 1 - Patient Ratios: - 1:1 for active labors, inductions, C-sections - Couple care: 1:3 - Newborns: 1:1 until stable - NICU: 1:3 intermediate care (2 NICU nurses required if there are patients) - Staffing: - No techs or unit secretaries available - Equipment: - CPN Central monitoring - IV pumps - Infant warmers - Tele-med robot for neonatologist - Bili-blankets - PCA pumps - Documentation Systems: Meditech and CPN - Scheduling: - Full-time: 3 shifts per week - Rotating weekends and holidays - Floating Policy: Staff may float within the facility as needed; some are cross-trained between LDRP and NICU Patient Experience Requirements: - Daily rounding on all patients - Safety rounding Hiring Profile: - Must Have: - Labor and delivery experience - Ability to labor and recover mothers - Successful transition of newborns, including assessments - Experience with shoulder dystocia, postpartum hemorrhage, and other OB emergencies - Advanced Skills Required: - Fetal monitoring education - Experience with inductions (Pitocin, cervidil) - Procedures: - C-sections - Circumcisions - Intra-uterine monitoring - Vacuum or forceps-assisted deliveries - Certifications Required: - BLS - NRP - Fetal Monitoring Training Dress Code: - Pink and/or brown scrubs (per infant security policy)
