A representative in your local area, you'll also be raising awareness of the work of Alzheimer's Society, helping to ensure people affected by dementia are aware of the vital information and support we offer, and people or businesses know about the ways in which they can support us.
This could include handing out our leaflets, encouraging the public to access our services and attending local events and talks. There are lots of other exciting ways you can get involved too, such as being a friendly face at local fundraising events, sharing social media posts or putting up posters. This role is community-based and requires a minimum two-hour commitment, four times per year.
We would love to see applications from under-represented groups across the Southwest. If your application is successful, you will need to complete 6 hours of training before starting as a volunteer. This would be in the form of eLearning (1 hour) and specific Dementia Friends Ambassador training (5 hours online).

We're looking for someone to be available for cheque presentations, events and fundraisers on a casual basis within the Pembrokeshire area. Because of the geographic size of the county, some travel may be required, so a driving license is essential. This volunteering opportunity will be on an ad hoc basis to fill the Society's needs.
